OFELIA Control Framework improved

The public open of OFELIA facility is now running version 0.14 of the OFELIA Control Framework (OCF). This is the fifth stable version of the experiment management software, which counts several improvements since its first release.

  • Better notification system through Message Panel and email, for users and administrators.
  • GUI improvements regarding data visualization and workflow.
  • AJAX technology for real-time resource status monitoring.
  • Installation and update processes simplified by the usage of the ofver v0.21 tool (http://code.google.com/p/ofver/wiki/Wiki).
  • Extensive bug fixing and improvements pointing to better stability based on the public experience.

In all the islands different projects have been registered and various experiments are already ongoing. OFELIA facility users mainly are from Europe, but the testbed also attracted interest and experimenters from the U.S., Latin America and China.
